FHT Technology

Innovative, non-burning technology for infectious medical waste sterilization

What is Frictional Heat Treatment (FHT)?

Frictional Heat Treatment (FHT) is an innovative, non-burning technology specifically designed for the complete sterilization and destruction of infectious medical waste. It relies on the mechanical friction generated by high-speed shredding to naturally heat the waste material.

Operating without the need for external heat sources, chemicals, or pressure vessels, the FHT system achieves a temperature of 150°C (302°F), ensuring comprehensive decontamination while transforming the waste into safe, unrecognizable, and eco-friendly residue.

  • 100% Non-burning process
  • Zero chemical additives required
  • No pressure vessels needed
  • Significant volume reduction (up to 80%) and weight reduction (up to 30%)
  • Shredding and sterilization are performed automatically in a single vessel within one continuous cycle.

Core Principles of FHT

Understanding the physics behind our revolutionary infectious medical waste treatment process.

Intense Shredding

High-torque rotors mechanically shred infectious medical waste into unidentifiable particles, maximizing the surface area.

Frictional Heating

The kinetic energy from the continuous shredding process transforms into heat, raising the core temperature up to 150°C.

Total Sterilization

Sustained high temperatures destroy all pathogens and microorganisms, achieving a 6 Log10 sterilization efficacy according to STAAT Level IV criteria.
